Cookies

This site sets three cookies, all of them needed for it to work. None of them serves advertising, none measures audience, none follows you from one site to the next.

The cookies set on your first visit

gite_du_beaulieu_session — set by this site, it lasts two hours and identifies your visit while you fill in the booking form.

XSRF-TOKEN — set by this site, it lasts two hours and protects the booking form against forged submissions from another site.

gdb_lang — set by this site, it lasts one year and remembers the language you picked, so we can serve it to you again next time.

These three are strictly necessary: without them the booking form does not work. They do not require prior consent, but they are listed here all the same.

The Google map

The "Nearby" section offers a map provided by Google. It is not loaded by default: until you click "Show the map", no request goes to Google, and so no Google cookie is set.

If you do display it, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, over which this site has no control. Your choice is stored in your browser, not in a cookie.

What is stored without a cookie

Two preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to the server: whether you have read the cookie notice, and whether you agreed to display the map.

Clearing them

You can delete these cookies and this storage at any time from your browser settings. The site will keep working: you will simply pick your language again, and the map will ask for your agreement again.

What this site does not do

No analytics. No advertising trackers. No social network buttons following you around. The fonts are hosted on this site, not at Google.

Cookies

This site remembers three small things while you visit: your booking request, its security, and the language you chose. Nothing else — no advertising, no tracking of your browsing.
